Have you ever wondered what it means to “pursue excellence”? Pursuing something is more than just being. We want to pursue excellence, not just be excellent. This means, we will always continue to strive after it and continue to develop and grow. As a company, we apply excellence as a multi-layered concept. It is more than just quality in the products we make. It’s in everything we do. It is based on the biblical principle, “Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people” (Colossians 3:23).

As we strive toward excellence, we consider how it applies in all of these areas:

• Character – Whether it is in our leadership, at work, in the community, or in how we interact with our coworkers, we emphasize personal character. Honesty, integrety and ethics are all part of excellence in character. We encourage each employee to embrace a sense of responsibility for contributing to our company’s success.

• Quality – Excellence matters when it comes to the quality of the products we make. That means we stay on the cutting edge of the industry and attend conferences or trade shows to learn how to continue to improve. It means we look for state-of-the-art options in equipment that improve accuracy. We strive for continuous improvement, innovation and embracing change.

• Service – Service goes beyond customer service. It includes serving one another, and serving the members of our community. It means going above what is expected and taking the extra step to show kindness, compassion, generosity, and making things right when we make a mistake. It’s part of believing that anything is possible when priorities are right. We work to create a safe, productive and rewarding work environment for all who are part of our team.

• Hard work – Our team works hard! Most work 10-hour shifts and they are committed to using their skills and abilities to be excellent in what they do. We always appreciate their dilligence, and we know they work hard in the places where they participate in everyday life outside of work too. We pursue excellence in work ethic, knowing that by setting goals and acheiving them, we can better our best and celebrate success! We work together to achieve our goals, while encouraging individual contribution and responsibility.
